Well, a long overdue recap to the Israel Houghton/Chris Tomlin concert! We had a blast! Grandpa Q came over and hung out with Noah so the 3 of us could head over the Xcel Energy Center. Excitement was in the air as we entered the building; we weren't the only ones ready to get our praise on and worship. Israel rocked it and I think Hannah jumped up and down/danced on her seat for the entire concert. Few things are sweeter than seeing a 5 year old belt out "I am a friend of God!" or "I am not forgotten, He knows my name!" I think she developed her first little crush on one of the back up singers. She said she liked his shirt and his hair and could tell he loved Jesus. (Hopefully that criteria will stick with her...)
When Chris Tomlin came out Hannah was in full on worship mode. The people behind us seemed to enjoy watching her as she lifted her hands and sang at the top of her lungs to most of the songs. She got very tired during the middle of the concert (it was past her bedtime) so she put her head in my lap and thought about falling asleep; of course she perked up for the finale. I'm so glad we took her since it really blessed my heart to see her worship without inhibition. She's ready for another concert so we'll have to see who else is coming to the Twin Cities!
